Town & Country Credit Union Board Member Brian Nelson, age 58, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Brian joined our Board of Directors in April of 2020. He was currently serving his first term when he passed.

“Brian truly cared about our members, our credit union and the communities we serve. We are immensely grateful for the indelible mark he left on our organization and the Fargo community," said Interim President/CEO Kalli Schell. "We will deeply miss Brian's wisdom, dedication, and warm spirit. Our hearts are with his family, friends and all those who cared about him as they grieve his loss.”

From 2017 to 2023, Brian served as a superintendent in Fairmount, ND and Rosholt, SD, splitting his time between the two schools. In addition to his superintendent duties, he also had an extensive educational career that included coaching basketball, football, and baseball and teaching driver's education for many years. He even drove the school bus for games and bus routes.

While serving on the board, Brian played a key role in guiding Town & Country towards the successful launch of our Minot Dakota Square location, helped steer the company through the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and made numerous other contributions.
