Our team attended the Dakota Credit Union Association's (DakCU) Annual Summit near Sioux Falls earlier this month. This gathering celebrates community and innovation within the credit union industry. We learned, networked, and took pride in returning home with a few new accolades.
The Summit was also a platform for us to showcase the impact of our initiatives, and we're thrilled to announce that our efforts were recognized with four awards:
- Jennifer Jerauld, AVP Member Services, was honored as DakCU Emerging Leader for 2023. This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential and a commitment to the credit union movement.
- 1st Place DesJardin Award: This award acknowledges our dedication to financial education and literacy programs. We believe in empowering our members with the knowledge to make informed financial decisions from an early age.
- 2nd Place Dora Maxwell Award: Named after a pioneer of the credit union movement, this award recognizes our social responsibility initiatives.
- Social Impact Award: This award celebrates our contributions to positively impacting our community. It recognizes our team's commitment to community service and charitable activities that have made a tangible difference.
In addition to our awards, we're excited to announce that Jake Klobuchar, Fargo Market President, has been elected to the DakCU Board of Directors for a three-year term. Jake's election is a significant milestone, as he will represent North and South Dakota Credit Unions on the board.
