Town & Country Credit Union has partnered with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines to grant $30,000 to three noteworthy organizations: the Minot YMCA, ShareHouse of Fargo, and Fargo-Moorhead Friends of the Children.

In a joint effort with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines), it's exciting to share that these three organizations will each be awarded a $10,000 grant, with Town & Country Credit Union contributing $2,500 and $7,500 coming from the Member Impact Fund established by FHLB Des Moines. This fund, launched in 2023 and aimed at supporting community enrichment projects, is set to distribute close to $20 million to qualifying groups to bolster community efforts within FHLB Des Moines' service area. In 2024, FHLB Des Moines increased the Member Impact Fund by $10 million.

Eligibility for the Member Impact Fund matching grant extends to organizations in Hawaii, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Member institutions from these areas submitted their applications in early 2024, with the funds being allocated to them. The recipient organizations were selected based on their need for grant funding to enhance their capacity for serving affordable housing or community development. This includes a range of needs such as training, strategic planning, software for management information systems, and working capital, among others.

This collaboration between Town & Country Credit Union and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines through the Member Impact Fund has set a powerful precedent for community investment and support. We are not just funding projects but fueling hope and growth across our communities. Together, we are building stronger, more resilient communities, one grant at a time.
