Town & Country Credit Union proudly joined credit unions across the nation to celebrate CU Kind Day on October 13, a day dedicated to spreading kindness and making a difference through community service. With all branches closed in observance of a federal holiday, 124 employees from across the organization volunteered their time in the Minot and Fargo communities, contributing an impressive total of 186 hours in just one day.
The Town & Country team partnered with 15 local nonprofit organizations, supporting causes that included food security, youth programming, animal welfare, and community enrichment. In Fargo, volunteers served with ShareHouse, Fargo Parks, BIO Girls, Folkways, Hope Blooms, and Fraser. In Minot, staff dedicated their time to Hairball Haven, Roosevelt Park Zoo, Independence Inc., Companions for Children, Kalix, Delight & Co. Diaper Pantry, Dakota Hope Clinic, and the Lord’s Cupboard Food Pantry.
“Our employees exemplified the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people,’” said Kalli Schell, CEO/President of Town & Country Credit Union. “CU Kind Day gave us the chance to live out our mission in a meaningful way, by supporting the incredible organizations that serve our communities every day.”
In addition to volunteering, employees also participated in professional development activities throughout the day. This ensured the time was used to not only give back, but also to grow professionally and strengthen the credit union team.
Town & Country Credit Union is proud to be part of the CU Kind Day movement, joining credit unions nationwide in showing that small acts of kindness can have a powerful impact. Together, we’re helping to build stronger, more vibrant communities one hour at a time.
