2018 $MRTZ Registration Now Open!

Summer has come and gone and it's time to prepare for another school year! Set your students up for financial success by enrolling them in $MRTZ, our financial literacy seminar for high school seniors!
$MRTZ was launched in 2009 as a partnership between Minot State University, the NDSU Ward County Extension Office, KMOT-TV and Town & Country Credit Union. The goal of the event was to create a free financial literacy event for high school seniors that would help prepare them for life in the real world! $MRTZ has been offered in Fargo since 2013.
$MRTZ in Minot will be held on Tuesday, October 23 on the campus of Minot State University and $MRTZ in Fargo will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at the Fargodome.
There is no cost for students to attend this event. Typical attendees are the entire senior class from a high school, a smaller group of students taking a class related to personal finance or individual attendees from a home school.
Each section seeks to provide concepts of personal finance as set forth by the ND Department of Public Instruction. Topics covered include Saving for Larger Purchases, Credit Card Usage, Investing, Interest Rates, Fees, Earning Power, College Costs / Financial Aid, Making and Living Within a Budget.
We provide lunch and breakfast at no cost and we have the students back on the buses by 2:15 p.m.
Registration is limited! Register your students today!
